Fibre Broadband (Recommended) Router and Device in SAME Room (Recommended), If not get a wifi extender New Device (Recommended) Less than 2 yrs old Devices to have as little apps as possible (NO Gaming apps etc) Latest Apps (Skyglass 2024 Recommended) NOTE: All instructions to Install, Uninstall, Update, Troubleshoot etc are available here, Get used to this as this will NOT be the last time you will be here. To Setup Plug in Device to HDMI on TV and follow onscreen instructions to pair Remote, Select Language. Connect device to your Wifi and let it do whatever updates it wants to Login using your Amazon Account <<------ Dont have an Amazon Account? Go to amazon.co.uk and follow instructions to get a FREE one and setup 1-click, If registering for an amazon account do so on a Phone, Tablet, Laptop or a PC. ------>> Continue Setup Just select Ok on amazon login and continue as u go BUT select No thanks to add Apps. Adding Apps SLOWS the Device and causes Buffering, Freezing etc, Only add the bare minimum and the device should ALWAYS have at LEAST 2gb of available Storage You should now be at the amazon Home screen Install the 1st App (Downloader App) Press and hold the microphone button and say Downloader Select Downloader App on Screen and Select Download on next Screen, It will say Queued, Then Installing and it will say Open When Done (DO NOT Open Downloader YET) To Unlock Device DO NOT SKIP if 1st time Press and hold Microphone Button and say Settings Select Applications and select AppStore and turn OFF Automatic Updates and Turn OFF In-App Purchases (Recommended) Press and hold Microphone Button and say Settings Select My Fire TV, Select Developer Options, Select Install Unknown Apps and turn all on OR just Downloader if it lists choices ----->> If Developer Options is not there do the following Press and Hold Microphone Button and say Settings Select My Fire TV Select About Hit the button on the remote seven times on the first item to reveal the now-hidden Developer Options menu, and follow the step above to unlock Apps and allow downloader to Install Apps -----<< Continue Setup Install 2nd App Press and hold the microphone button and say Downloader Select Downloader App IMPORTANT Allow anything it asks In the URL Box Put CODE OR URL for your selected app in box and select Go (Codes & Urls BELOW) When the app Downloads select Install at Bottom Right of Screen When Installed Select Open Bottom Right of Screen Keep Selecting Arrow at Bottom of screen Select Login Connect VPN in App Select VPN Tick Automatic & Autoconnect Select Connect IMPORTANT Select OK or AGREE to ANYTHING ASKED When Connected appears at bottom of screen Select the Back Button on the remote and it will show you the Login Screen again If Skyglass app closes Just Open it again To Login Put in your Given Username and Password (NOT your Amazon Login) Select Login If you prefer Instructions with Pictures to Install The Downloader App Click https://troypoint.com/downloader/ and follow instructions based on your device BUT if you followed above there is NO need to |
Some Trouble ShootingVPN Recommended as Internet providers Block or Slow connections to servers as by LAW they supposed to.Green Screen on Channels? Answer: Mostly happens on the very old Red App, Do the WEEKLY Maintenance and if no better follow instructions and install a newer app. ALL Channels Blank? Again Start by doing WEEKLY Maintenance and if no better make sure you are using the LATEST app and use the FREE VPN in the App as Internet providers DO block as they are supposed to by law, If still no better Make sure that Device and Router is in the SAME room as new 5g routers DO NOT send signal well through Walls, Floors or ceilings, USE Wifi extenders to get more stable internet into rooms where the device is. If you are already using the FREE VPN in App and no better select VPN and disconnect and reconnect and see ALL Channels Buffering? Do the same as explained in "All Channels Blank" above Netflix etc work so its not my Internet? Netflix etc working does not mean that your internet is NOT to blame, Internet Providers Block, Its the Law so again do the same as explained in "All Channels Blank" above, using VPN VERY Important here My Device is over 2yrs old?
